SIM Refund Policy (based on subscription model)

SIM has three subscription plans:

  • Monthly
  • Semi-Annual
  • Annual

Students must pay their bill in full at least five business days before the start of their selected plan to have uninterrupted access to their courses.

SIM recognizes that a subscription model for a self-paced competency-driven curriculum relying primarily on final projects may not be a fit for every student. To encourage students to strive for the most rigorous educational option, all first-time enrolling students receive the first month free (e.g., a trial period). Billing begins with the second month of enrollment. Any course credit earned during the first month will be reported on your transcript. Continuing or re-enrollments do not qualify for this offer.

The following refund policy applies:

Monthly – No refunds offered during the month. If you are unable to pay for the next month, submit a withdrawal request that explains why you cannot participate. While you won’t be able to access university resources, you remain a student in good standing with any approved withdrawal request.

Semi-Annual or Annual – Refunds will only be processed at the end of every month with an approved withdrawal request. Your refund will reflect any balance after deducting the monthly rate for every month used. You may request re-enrollment at the start of a new term.

All refunds will be charged a transaction fee of 3% plus $50.
